[Serie A] Lazio - Lecce = 1 - 0

January 15, 2024

At the Stadio Olimpico, Lazio achieved their vengeance with a 1-0 victory over Lecce in the Italian Serie A match. The sole goal of the game was netted by Felipe Anderson, who assumed the role of the 'False Nine' for the evening.

When Lecce visited, Lazio exerted considerable effort to secure a valuable three points. However, due to their inability to field their strongest lineup, Lazio encountered challenges in surpassing their opponents.

It was inevitable that Taty Castellanos would be absent from that game. Unfortunately, Castellanos sustained a muscle injury and was unable to recuperate in time for the match.

Despite not having completely recovered, Alessio Romagnoli, the defender, was called upon to substitute Patric, who sustained a shoulder injury and had to be substituted in the 24th minute.

In a satisfying turn of events, Lazio managed to retaliate against their previous 2-1 loss to Lecce on their home turf. This victory marks the fourth consecutive win for the Biancoceleste in their domestic matches.

Lazio's ascent to fifth place, with a total of 33 points, was a direct result of their achievement of full points. This capital team is starting to overshadow Fiorentina who is in fourth place.

Meanwhile, Lecce still cannot improve their position. Lecce is continuing to have trouble as they are in 13th place with 21 points after losing the away game.
