Rovella Is Ready To Return Following His Long Absence Due To An Injury

March 25, 2024

Lazio's midfielder Nicolo Rovella is set to make his comeback after a two-month absence due to an undisclosed injury. The young talent, signed last summer, has been showcasing his skills under Maurizio Sarri's coaching and is growing more confident in displaying his abilities.

After being sidelined for almost two months with a mysterious injury, Nicolo Rovella is now ready to rejoin Lazio's squad. The 22-year-old Italian midfielder has been demonstrating his talent during Maurizio Sarri's tenure, despite a slow start last fall. Rovella's last appearance was in early February when Lazio suffered a 3-1 defeat against Atalanta, marking a six-week absence from the pitch.

Rovella's injury, initially not a major concern, has kept him out of six games due to inflammation in his pubic bone, causing frustration for the young player. So far in the 2023/24 season, he has played 1453 minutes across 24 matches.

According to LaLazioSiamoNoi, Rovella is expected to rejoin Lazio's training at Formello next week, marking the end of his six-week recovery period. The midfielder is aiming to regain full fitness ahead of the Derby della Capitale against Roma on April 6.

With the arrival of new coach Igor Tudor, Rovella's role in Lazio's squad is expected to change as the coach has been implementing a new formation during training sessions with the team.
