Castellanos Emerges As Hot Transfer Target Ahead Of Summer Window

Lazio forward Taty Castellanos has emerged as a hot prospect for several top-flight clubs in England and Spain, as the summer transfer window approaches. The 26-year-old Argentine has risen to prominence this season, cementing his role as a vital component in Marco Baroni’s lineup.

After joining Lazio in mid-2023 as a backup to veteran Ciro Immobile, Castellanos saw his role expand significantly, particularly following the arrival of Igor Tudor who took over managerial duties in March 2024. This season, Castellanos has thrived—netting 14 goals and providing eight assists across all competitions.

According to La Lazio Siamo Noi, the striker’s strong performances have caught the eye of multiple European clubs. Spanish sides Real Betis and Villarreal are among the most interested, as both are pushing for Champions League qualification and view Castellanos as a potential reinforcement to sharpen their attacking edge.

Meanwhile, interest from the Premier League is also heating up. Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly weighing up a move as they prepare to offload Matheus Cunha to Manchester United for a reported £62.5 million. A portion of those funds is expected to go toward acquiring a new striker, with Castellanos high on the shortlist.

West Ham United are also exploring attacking options following injury setbacks to Michail Antonio and the uncertain future of Niclas Fullkrug. They are keen to find a partner for Evan Ferguson and view Castellanos as a potential fit. Nottingham Forest, too, have shown early signs of interest.

While Lazio have not officially placed Castellanos on the market, the club is open to serious offers. Valuations for the Argentine striker are believed to be in the range of €30–35 million, a figure that could tempt suitors seeking proven attacking firepower.
