[Official] Ex-Lazio Primavera’s Top Midfielder Signs With Monza After Season In Germany
Monza have made their first move of the summer transfer window, announcing the arrival of Jacopo Sardo from German side Saarbrücken. The news was officially shared by the club on their official social media account.
Sardo, a Rome native born in 2005, spent his early years developing in Lazio’s Primavera squad before moving to Germany last year. While his time at Saarbrücken in the German third division was hampered by injury, limiting him to just two appearances, Sardo’s potential has not gone unnoticed. Monza have offered the promising midfielder a contract running until June 2028.
The deal marks a return to Italian football for Sardo, who previously distinguished himself at Lazio’s youth level, even earning the award for best midfielder in the Primavera 1 league during the 2023-24 campaign. Now set to join Monza, recently relegated to Serie B, Sardo will be looking to make a fresh start and play a key role as the club aims for a swift return to the top flight.
