Loum Tchaouna Set For Burnley Switch From Lazio

The future of French winger Loum Tchaouna has taken center stage in the summer transfer market, as Burnley close in on a deal that promises a fresh start for the 21-year-old and a financial boost for Lazio.

After days of speculation and conflicting reports, the transfer saga appears to be nearing its conclusion. Tchaouna, who joined Lazio from Salernitana and featured 24 times in Serie A last season, is expected in England next week to finalize a five-year contract with Burnley. The Championship side, recently relegated from the Premier League, are set to pay €15 million for the French U-21 international.

The move comes at a crucial moment for Lazio. With the Italian club’s transfer activity restricted due to a current embargo, Tchaouna’s sale will be registered in the new financial year, providing much-needed flexibility for potential signings. Club president Claudio Lotito had recently confirmed a sale at that figure, though without naming Burnley directly.

According to sources close to the negotiation, Lazio have also secured a 10% sell-on clause should Burnley profit from any future transfer involving Tchaouna, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio. This detail highlights the Roman club’s continued interest in the winger’s development and market value.

Despite limited impact in his debut campaign for Lazio—scoring once in 24 appearances—Tchaouna’s technical ability and pace have kept him on the radar of English clubs. For Burnley, the signing represents both a statement of intent and a chance to rejuvenate their attacking options as they plot a return to the Premier League.

For Tchaouna, the move to Turf Moor could be the perfect stage to revive his career trajectory. Trained at Rennes and tested in both Ligue 1 and Serie A, the young Frenchman is now ready to take on the challenge of English football, hoping that a new environment will unlock his full potential.
