Sassuolo Put Lazzari On Their Radar Ahead Of January Transfer Window

Sassuolo are once again showing interest in Manuel Lazzari, as the future of the Lazio full back remains uncertain ahead of the next transfer window.

The Neroverdi have been monitoring Lazzari for some time. According to Nicolò Schira, Sassuolo had already tried to approach the player last summer, but Lazio’s transfer market restrictions made any concrete talks impossible. With the situation now clearer, the Emilian club are ready to renew their interest and explore a possible move to the Mapei Stadium.

Lazzari’s contract with Lazio runs until 2027, but the Biancoceleste are not ruling out a sale. The right back has lost his regular starting role this season and has struggled to make a strong impact when called upon.

So far, Lazzari has made 12 appearances in all competitions, but his playing time has been limited to just 392 minutes. He has not scored or provided any assists, and his contribution has been mainly defensive, collecting two yellow cards in the process.

For Sassuolo, Lazzari represents an experienced Serie A option who knows the league well and could add depth and pace on the flank. For Lazio, a potential transfer could open the door to tactical adjustments and help the club reshape the squad.

At the moment, no official negotiations have been confirmed, but Sassuolo’s renewed interest suggests that Lazzari’s situation is one to watch closely in the coming weeks.
