[Official] Lazio Sign Adrian Przyborek As Fifth January Addition

S.S. Lazio have announced their fifth new signing of the winter transfer window, completing a permanent deal for young Polish midfielder Adrian Przyborek from Pogon Szczecin.

The move continues Lazio’s busy recruitment drive after the transfer ban imposed last summer was officially lifted. Since then, the club have already brought in four players, including Serbian striker Petar Ratkov, Dutch midfielder Kenneth Taylor, young Italian goalkeeper Edoardo Motta, and versatile forward Daniel Maldini.

On Saturday, January 31st, Przyborek put pen to paper, with Lazio confirming the agreement through an official statement on the club website. In that announcement, Lazio said they had definitively acquired the player’s registration rights and that the 19 year old signed a long term contract after agreeing personal terms and passing his medical.

The club did not disclose the transfer fee, but earlier reports in Italian media suggested the deal was worth around five million euros, potentially rising to seven million euros with bonuses included. Przyborek joined Pogon in 2020 and earned a first team role in 2023. This season, he has produced three goals and two assists across 19 appearances, numbers that hint at a player comfortable influencing games in the final third.

Przyborek is typically used as an attacking midfielder, which makes his fit in Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 setup one of the most interesting talking points. He could develop into a creator in the style of Luis Alberto, or adapt into a more rounded option, potentially growing into a natural playmaker who can interpret the mezzala role in Sarri’s system. For Lazio, the signing looks like another step in building depth and long term quality, while also adding a young profile with clear upside.
