Lazio Is Anxiously Waiting For The Results Of Marusic's Second Covid Test

Lazio is reportedly anxiously waiting for the results of the Covid-19 test for one of their regular players, Adam Marusic, who was confirmed positive for the virus last week.  Now the Montenegro international defender underwent a second test to further confirm.

As reported by Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, 29-year-old full-back from Montenegro, Adam Marusic, was forced to withdraw from his national team training camp after testing positive for Covid-19 last week and he underwent a second test whose results will be known soon.

Marusic returned to Belgrade on Sunday (14/11) local time, where he underwent his tests and now Lazio is waiting anxiously.  If indeed the test result remains positive then he will be forced to undergo quarantine meaning he will miss the next Biancoceleste match against Juventus on Saturday night.

The 29-year-old full-back has been in isolation but there is hope that his initial test result was a false positive.  Marusic, whose contract with The Aquile will run until the next year 2022, has so far made 11 Serie A appearances for a total of 837 minutes.  In that period he has adapted to Maurizio Sarri's system.

He has become one of Sarri's regular players in the defense of The Aquile to make the club are working on a contract extension which is reportedly just waiting for the official announcement after both parties reach an agreement.
