Acerbi Becomes One Of Monza's Transfer Lists Target Next Season

Yesterday, the Berlusconi-Galliani duo Monza achieved a historic Serie A promotion. The Lombardy club, who won 3-4 at the Pisa Stadium (after winning the first leg 2-1 at home), are now dreaming of starting a cycle that could keep him in the Italian top-flight long-term. To be successful, however, they need significant and professional purchases that can make a big difference right away.

Belotti and Messias's candidates have recovered in recent days, but they're not the only names useful to the cause of New Lombardy. A trail also leads to Lazio. One of those names could be Francesco Acerbi, as reported by Nicolò Schira on his Twitter profile.

"Monza is interested in Francesco Acerbi, who could leave Lazio in the summer transfer window," the reporter wrote.

The Biancoceleste Center-back's relationship with the fans has deteriorated at the same time, and Monza may represent his chance to play in peace again.  Acerbi has also been linked with Juventus and Inter Milan in recent weeks.

In 30 Serie A games this season, Acerbi has scored 4 goals and provided 1 assist. His contract with Lazio will end in the summer of 2025.
