Provedel Becomes The Most Clean Sheet Lazio's Goalkeeper In A Single Season

Goalkeeper Ivan Provedel joined Lazio less than a year ago, but already he has made history for his club in the Serie A. He has become a regular on the defense for Maurizio Sarri's squad.

Ivan Provedel is considered the greatest goalkeeper in Lazio's history for having the most clean sheets in a single season.  The success of preventing the goal from conceding while visiting Spezia strengthened the record of the 28-year-old goalkeeper's clean sheet streak to 18 games.

This figure already surpassed Lazio goalkeeper Idilio Cei's record for most clean sheets in goal during the 1960s, which was 17 in the 1963/64 season.  With 8 more games remaining in the competition, this record may be increased and strengthened the position of Provedel for a long time.
