Bernardeschi Plans To Return To Serie A Next Season, Lazio And Milan Are Standing By

Lazio and Milan are reportedly interested in taking part in the pursuit of the Italian winger who is playing for Toronto FC, Federico Bernardeschi in this summer's transfer market.

Federico Bernardeschi has attempted to make an impact at Toronto FC, but has been unable to do so, it is reported that he will instead return to Italy, where Lazio and Milan are both interested in the winger.

The 29-year-old Italian winger stunned many by announcing he would switch to the MLS club Toronto FC in July of last year when his contract with Juventus expired. He was paired with fellow countryman Lorenzo Insigne at the Canadian club.

At first, things were going well for Bernardeschi, who had 8 goals in 13 total appearances in MLS this season, but this has been more difficult for the player, his form has been less impressive on the field and he is reportedly lacking in professionalism.

According to DAZN, it appears that Bernadeschi is prepared to depart from Toronto and make a comeback to Serie A for the upcoming season. Both the Biancoceleste and the Rossoneri have shown keen interest in acquiring the services of the 29-year-old player.

Agent Beppe Bozzo represents the ex-Bianconeri winger, who appears to be nearing the end of his tenure in North America.

As Maurizio Sarri's team has secured their place in the Champions League for next season, they will need to acquire more skilled players to compete in multiple competitions.
