Lazio Still Wants To Try To Contact Jorginho To Work With Sarri Again

In preparation for the upcoming season, all departments of Lazio must be strengthened. With the added responsibility of competing in both the Serie A and the Champions League, the team must possess a squad of the highest caliber. Sarri emphasized this point in his recent comments, stating that "We need strong players."

During his discussion with President Lotito, the name of Jorginho was mentioned, a player that the coach is very familiar with as he has previously worked with him at Napoli and Chelsea. While Jorginho can depart Arsenal, the cost of his departure is still substantial. The possibility of carrying out the transfer is currently under consideration.

Cataldi's performance during the season was exceptional, but if the Italian-Brazilian's experience were added, Lazio could make a significant improvement. President Lotito and Sarri are both aware of this. As of now, Jorginho has a one-year contract with Arsenal, which will expire in 2024. He joined Arsenal after leaving Chelsea in January and has spent the last five seasons in the Premier League. Jorginho is open to returning to Italy, especially if he receives a call from Sarri.

The ex-Verona and Napoli players will turn 32, so the Gunners cannot ask their demands too high if the player requests to depart. The issue of transfer cost is undoubtedly the most difficult to address, and this is precisely what we are considering. For the time being, it is a simple concept; let us see what happens in the future weeks.
