Akpa Akpro Will Leave Lazio For Hellas Verona After Kamada Arrived

The acquisition of Japanese midfielder Daichi Kamada by Lazio paves the way for the departure of Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro. The process to transfer the Ivorian midfielder to Hellas Verona has been expedited in recent hours, with initial discussions taking place at the start of the transfer window. However, it is now confirmed that after the arrival of the Japanese footballer in the capital, the approval has been granted by Claudio Lotito.

Following his loan spell at Empoli, the player made his way back to Lazio. However, it didn't take long for several Serie A clubs to express interest in signing the footballer. As per reports from Sportitalia, Hellas Verona has reportedly secured the services of the Ivorian midfielder, who is now prepared to make the move to Veneto. This acquisition will undoubtedly provide Marco Baroni's team with a seasoned player in their ranks, adding valuable experience to the squad.

Last season, Akpa-Akpro was a member of the Empoli team in Serie A 2022/23. Throughout the season, he participated in 19 matches and managed to score a single goal against Bologna on May 4th.
