[Official] Lazio Sign A Young Goalkeeper From OFI Crete As A Third Choice Goalkeeper For The First Team


Lazio bring in OFI Crete goalkeeper, Christos Mandas, who is undergoing a medical with the club and is expected to complete his transfer to the club.


The Biancoceleste loaned out second goalkeeper Luis Maximiano to Almeria earlier this month and brought Luigi Sepe from Salernitana for an initial loan of 500,000 euros with no option to purchase, this loan was provided as backup for Ivan Provedel.


Also, Lazio has decided to take a third-choice approach and has committed to OFI Crete the deal for Mandas, who was impressing in the Greek Super League last season.


Mandas is currently at the Paideia Clinic in Rome, undergoing medical assessments with Lazio in advance of his move from OFI Crete.


The 21-year-old goalkeeper will join in a deal that is valued at around 1 million euros, his contract will have a duration of five years, and will be part of Maurizio Sarri's team for the 2023-24 season.


A talented raw, Mandas will work closely with Sarri and the Lazio first team this season and if everything goes well, he will be promoted to a second choice for the next season.
