Freiburg's Loan Proposal Has Been Accepted By Basic, Now They Need To Negotiate With Lazio

Lazio's Toma Basic is on the verge of a loan transfer to the Bundesliga in Germany. Basic's involvement at Lazio has been minimal, with only a brief appearance in the Coppa Italia this season. As a reserve player in Rome, he spends most of his time on the bench. Nevertheless, this situation is likely to change soon, as a move to the Bundesliga is on the horizon.

As per information provided by 'Corriere dello Sport,' SC Freiburg has sent an offer to Basic, a Croatian player who has represented his country three times. It is reported that Basic has already given his consent for the loan deal, which also includes an option for a permanent transfer. The exact terms of the agreement are still being negotiated between the two clubs, and a final decision is expected to be reached in the upcoming days.

Basic experienced a higher level of involvement with the Lazio team during the preceding season; however, his participation on the field gradually decreased over time. Nevertheless, he is still bound by a contract with the club that extends until 2026. Lazio's coach, Maurizio Sarri, is looking for midfield reinforcements in the winter, and if President Claudio Lotito approves, it could positively influence Basic's impending transfer to Freiburg.
