[Official] Felipe Anderson Has Made The Decision To Continue His Journey With Palmeiras After His Contract With Lazio Comes To An End

Felipe Anderson has taken to social media to announce that he won't be extending his contract with Lazio, and he also will not join Juventus as previously reported.

The Brazilian's current deal with Lazio will expire on June 30, and talks about its renewal have been dragging on for months.

Acknowledging the slow progress in negotiations, Anderson confirmed his decision not to renew the contract. In his official statement, he expressed gratitude to Lazio and their fans for their support while clarifying his departure plans for the upcoming season.

"Out of respect for Lazio and their fans who have always supported me, I can confirm that I have not reached an agreement to renew my contract with the club and therefore, I will take a new path for next season," Anderson stated.

He also emphasized his dedication to honoring Lazio until the contract's end date, citing his professionalism and commitment to the team.

"I have always proven my professionalism and my commitment to Lazio, so I can confirm that I will remain dedicated to honoring this jersey until the last day of my contract. Thank you for everything!"

Previously linked with Juventus, Anderson's destination has now been confirmed as Palmeiras, who announced securing the 31-year-old's services. He has signed a deal with the Brazilian club running until December 31, 2027.

Reports from Football-Italia indicate that Anderson's return to Brazil is motivated by family reasons.

Having represented the Biancoceleste in two separate spells, from 2013 to 2018 and then returning in 2021 from West Ham United, Anderson leaves behind an impressive record of 319 appearances for the Italian Capital's Eagles, contributing 58 goals and 63 assists during these periods.
