Lotito: "I Put On The Shirt With His Number, The One He Wore With Lazio. He Always Had Lazio In His Heart. He's A Reference Point For Those Who Work In This World."

Claudio Lotito, president of Lazio, honored Sinisa Mihajlovic: the Serbian's biancoceleste shirt was affixed to the casket. Interviewed by reporters present at the funeral home's exit, Claudio Lotito stated as follows about Sinisa Mihajlovic:

"I have always had a friendly relationship with his family, he and I are both individuals who must be role models as professionals and most importantly as men. He had the courage and a lot of dignity in dealing with a devastating disease, he must be an example of strength. He never divulged anything, I never witnessed him exhibiting any sort of compassion, but always with a smile. This demonstrates that he was a great man."

"It's a memorable occasion, I put on the shirt with his number, the one he wore with Lazio. We also met outside, the wife told me, 'you loved each other' and it's true. He's always been a man of great importance, he dared to assume his responsibilities and never acted in his own interest. Instead, he always had Lazio in his heart. I, who had the opportunity to know him before becoming president, still retain these memories. I told the wife that she chose the right photo, he always had a smile. He has always protected the football system, with strength, pride, determination, and professionalism. He was a good husband and father because he always kept the family together. He's a reference point for those who work in this world."
